Apparently teachers look out for our kids, and parents don’t

The confessed outlaws in the hierarchy of the radical leftist BC teachers union (“party”) keeps repeating the mantra that they’re doing it “for the kids”, which if I understand their tactic correctly, is playing on the fact that they think non-teachers are stupid, stupid, zombie-like doofuses.  Political parties should learn right out of the gate that it’s a serious error to underestimate the intelligence of the voters.

But actually, truth be known, I have now come to believe this is actually supposed to be a bit of inside leftist union/political humor, since of course this “for the kids” line couldn’t possibly be further from the truth.  Humor is often based on extreme irony, or that which is obviously impossible to be true.

But anyway, without going Reagan on them as I’ve repeatedly said she most assuredly should, BC’s Liberal education minister seems to have at least heard of Ronald Reagan or read about how sensible he was as she promises to protect teachers who want to ABIDE BY THE LAW and do their jobs.  OK it’s a stretch bringing Reagan’s name into this but I’m trying to jam a huge bug in their ear.  Sort of a reverse “for the kids” play.

But wow, huh?  What a turn this has taken.  Imagine the government protecting people who want to abide by the law and do their jobs rather than protecting those who break the law and cause harm to others.  What kind of lesson will that teach our kids?  Clearly the teachers union is against this annoying “law and order” move since it won’t be teaching the kids their stuff!  No wonder they want control over the classroom!  Of course they’ve got the next several years to turn our little tykes around in the quiet classrooms of our provinces and our nation.

B.C. education minister promises to protect teachers who cross picket lines

VANCOUVER (CP) – B.C. Education Minister Shirley Bond says her government will do all it can to protect teachers who want to cross illegal picket lines in front of B.C. schools.

Only about 50 per cent of the province’s teachers voted on the ballot that asks if the union should take illegal strike action, Bond said. She said it’s clear there are a lot of teachers in the province who want to be back in their classrooms.

“It’s time that the B.C. Teachers’ Federation actually listened to the voice of not just parents, but many classroom teachers who are expressing that view.” […]

The radical leftist teachers union (“party”), if they ever stop what they admit right up front is a “political protest” (in their misguided effort to stymie the Supreme Court who will charge them with contempt if they’re “striking”) and go back to doing their jobs again as the Court has indicated they should, will have a very hard time explaining the concept of “law and order” to our kids.  And the concept of whom, exactly, gets to decide when and on what basis it is perfectly acceptable to go ahead and snub your nose at the law of the land and the people who elected our lawmakers.

I can only imagine (and I shudder to think) how they teach basic economics, business, politics, and more.
