Conservatives: How to win elections - Part 1

One of ProudToBeCanadian.ca’s regular discussion forum participants has a knack for squeezing his views into the Canadian consciousness despite the liberals amongst us.  Once again Marc Mielhausen, from St. Thomas, Ontario, got a letter to the editor published in the London Free Press, and once again Marc shows us how it’s done when it comes to being a persistent, active conservative who’s making the effort, and making a positive difference.

Marc also posted it in the discussion forums here.

Pull plug on CBC and put $1 billion to better use

Regarding the article, Poll finds most Canadians unaware of CBC disruption (Aug. 29).

Arnold Amber, CBC branch president of the Canadian Media Guild, dismissed the poll results, on the impact of the CBC lockout, as premature and “totally meaningless” because “they’re polling the entire population rather than the population that actually cares and listens (consistently) to the CBC.”

This is the most delusional babble I’ve ever read. Does Amber think the average Canadian taxpayer is an idiot? The CBC is an uncompetitive albatross that is funded by more than just those who watch and care about it. This poll is, in fact, something the government of Canada should examine if it would like to put $1 billion a year to better use.
