Conservatives to cut stupid Status of Women division of the liberals

These are among the many great reasons we voted Conservative.

The federal surplus has hit 13-plus BILLION and will be used to pay down the federal debt.  It will be one of the biggest debt pay-downs in Canadian history.

Liberals are against that.  They would have chosen to spend the cash instead, inventing new social programs that we couldn’t live without but didn’t know it.

Also, they announced one to two BILLION dollars in cuts.

CUT:

* Research on medical marijuana, which cost $4 million per year

* $5 million from status of women agency.

* Visitor Rebate Program

* the Court Challenges Program (think the gay marriage and anti-conservative group EGALE)

* the Youth International Internship Program

* $42.2-million dollars from Industry Canada programs including Technology Partnerships Canada, the country’s most controversial business subsidy program.

The liberals’ Globe and Mail headlines it thusly:

Canada posts $13.2-billion surplus”.  Obviously it would have read : “Liberals post $13.2-billion surplus” had the Liberals won the last election, so at least we all get the credit nowadays!

But then later, in an incomprehensible switch (and an incomprehensible paragraph), they start throwing “Tories” and “Conservatives” around willy-nilly:

The savings will not yield new dollars for the Tories to spend because they have already been booked the savings in the 2006 budget to offset the cost of other Conservative measures. (My emphasis).

Perhaps they should a start a literacy and fair and balanced reporting social program for the liberal media.

They could do it by saving another BILLION dollars per year if they cut the state-run and state-owned media, which obviously should be banned in this country and enshrined in our Constitution as such.

EXTRA!
