VIDEO: Bill Clinton, looking totally bored, falls asleep during MLK ceremony today

Written by Joel Johannesen on Monday January 21 2008 at 03:57 PM

Wow —and on Martin Luther King Day.  It’s sort of surprising since he’s “the first black president” (™ Team Clinton - History Re-write Division & The Fawning Liberal Media Division).

It’s a wonder he didn’t try to turn this massive display of disinterest and his obvious snooze-fest into some sort of a fake “deep in thought” moment or something.  It’s reminiscent of his fake “I so sad!” thespian routine as captured in video below (click to play it):

Bill faking out the people again

The Clintons.  Honesty all the way.  To the bank.

EXTRA:

Some of the reader comments at the New York Post are good.

What’s most funny is when he starts nodding his head in agreement right after he catches himself falling asleep. Part of his famous act.

Posted by: Seth on January 21, 2008 06:55 PM

I liked that too.  He’s so smarmy and phony that he’s managed to work it right into his act without even thinking.  It’s now just instinctive.

VIDEO: News Done Right: Fox News Channel’s Shepard Smith handles nanny-state apologist

Written by Joel Johannesen on Tuesday December 18 2007 at 01:29 PM

“I’m also gonna die if I step in front of a bus going 30 miles an hour up 6th Avenue, so what do I do?  I don’t step in front of the freakin’ bus!
—Fox News Channel’s Shepard Smith today, while interviewing a nanny-state apologist

Earlier today I wrote a quip about the nanny-state Nation of Quebec and its grand plan to ban ads for sports cars on the basis that they’re dangerous (or some damn-fool thing).  Today while watching the Fox News Channel, I found an antidote to that stupidity, as I often do on FNC.

I always say Canadian news, on any of the liberalvision channels, is about the most boring news you could watch, and it’s true.  And I also tell folks in Canada that unless or until you’ve seen Fox News Channel (now unbanned in Canada and available from your cable or satellite provider!), you have no clue how boring (or how hideously, abjectly biased toward the liberal-left and far-left) that it really is.  Canadians who watch FNC are usually astounded at how there’s actually another, totally different way of looking at things.

And I often complain about how news anchors in Canada sit there and allow dumb things to go unchallenged.  Of course the tactic most often employed by liberalvision in Canada almost always revolves around simply inviting guest “experts” with whom they totally agree—usually an über exciting left-wing or outright Marxist university professor—and then providing them with dumb, leading, fluffball questions, and then sitting there on their butts and allowing them a free national platform to espouse their liberal-left world view —with nary a peep from the fawning or just plain dumb anchor or reporter.  And then it’s “...over to you, Lloyd!”.

But the fantastic Fox News Channel does it right.  At noon (Pacific) we have Studio B with Shepard Smith.  No conservative, “Shep” is no pushover either. He may not agree with FNC’s Bill O’Reilly on many things, but he shares O’Reilly’s distaste for overt spin and stupidity.

Today, he took to interviewing an apologist for far-left San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom and his wacky new socialist nanny-state idea to tax soda pop (it’s got sugar in it, and sugar’s bad for ya!).  The expert he interviews is a “social policy expert”.  That’s code for liberal do-gooder political-correctness policewoman and nanny-state apologist.

VIDEO: Lib Democrat says Bush wants Americans to have heads blown off in Iraq “for his amusement”

Written by Joel Johannesen on Thursday October 18 2007 at 12:41 PM

A moonbat Congressman, Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA), uses his speech time in Congress to say, among things, that President Bush likes to send kids to Iraq to fight and get their heads blown off “for his amusement”.  Much of the rest of his drivel included thoughtful ideas like “Bush lied” and such.  You know, those things that pass for intellectually honest, intelligent debate among liberals today in Canada and the U.S.

To which no liberal media have bothered to comment or write their scathing judgments.  Of course he’s not Ann Coulter, or any conservative, so what the hell?  Let ‘er rip. Then rinse, and repeat.

“Where are you going to get that money? Are you going to tell us lies like you’re telling us today? Is that how you’re going to fund the war? You don’t have money to fund the war or children. But you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president’s amusement.”

No Democrats have had anything to say about it either.  Interesting isn’t it?

VIDEO: Watch BBC video of story on judge ruling on Al Gore’s inconvenient political propaganda

Written by Joel Johannesen on Thursday October 11 2007 at 09:14 AM

Here’s a report from the BBC on the story that the Canadian media apparently refuses to acknowledge.  I believe they ignore it because it refutes all the hard indoctrination work they’ve done in promoting Al Gore’s BS-laden shockumentary called “An Inconvenient Truth” and the concept of “man-made global warming”.

As I’ve reported several times here at PTBC, the news they don’t want you to hear is that a U.K. judge has ordered that if the film is to be shown in schools to kids, as leftists all demand, then it be done only with a stern warning to students that it is not in fact “Truth” or “fact” at all—but rather political indoctrination.  (I note the CBC.ca web site has a link to the story but they hilariously strain credulity and frame it thus:  “Man loses bid to ban An Inconvenient Truth from U.K. schools”—which is their way of trying to make you headline-only readers think that Gore and his flick is in fact right on, and that they won in court—it’s not banned as some dumb-ass wanted.  “Truth” is indeed inconvenient for liberals and the Left.  In fact, it was a massive loss for Gore and the liberal-left hoards who think of this ridiculous flick as practically biblical, and Gore as a Prophet of truth, now that their clergy—the teachers—have to warn their students that what they are about to see is political propaganda.)

The judge called him “alarmist” and cited his film as telling untruths. Some Prophet.  Some religion.  Some documentary.

VIDEO: Al Gore won’t debate man-made global warming theory: so our Steve Milloy brings debate to him

Written by Joel Johannesen on Thursday October 04 2007 at 08:38 AM

Our columnist Steve Milloy has upped the ante once again.  While Al Gore refuses to debate his man-made global warming freak-out theory, real scientists are all over the debate, which liberals say is over, on the basis that all scientists agree (through a cool-sounding “consensus”) with the man-made global warming theories of Al (“my hair she be on fire”) Gore.  Well that’s just confusing.  So Steve Milloy brings the debate right to Al Gore, sort of.

And there’s a Canadian angle:

In the debate video, two Canadians are featured as climate experts:  Professor Ian Clark of the University of Ottawa’s Department of Earth Sciences, and Dr. Tim Ball, Professor of Climatology at the University of Winnipeg.

Al Gore ‘Debates’ Global Warming for the First Time in YouTube Video; ‘We Debate, You Decide’ environmental education video series launched by DemandDebate.com

Washington, DC (October 4, 2007) ─ Since former vice president and global warming activist Al Gore has so far refused to debate global warming skeptics, the debate has been brought to him. The public may now watch Al Gore make his case head-to-head against expert climatologists in the first episode of the new environmental education video series, “We Debate, You Decide,” launched by DemandDebate.com.

The “Al Gore Debates Global Warming” video is posted [below].

“Al Gore has refused multiple invitations to debate in-person about global warming,” said Steve Milloy, executive director of DemandDebate.com. “So we’ve decided to let video of his previous remarks do the talking for him,” Milloy explained.

In the first installment of DemandDebate’s “We Debate, You Decide” series, Al Gore ‘debates’ expert climatologists on the central issue of whether carbon dioxide drives global warming.

Al Gore says in the video that we’re witnessing an unprecedented level of atmospheric carbon dioxide that is driving global temperatures higher. But expert climatologists ─ including Syun-ichi Akasofu, Tim Ball, Ian Clark, Piers Corbyn, Patrick Michaels, Nir Shaviv and Frederick Singer ─ say there is no evidence carbon dioxide drives global temperature change.”

“We’ll see what the public thinks after both sides make their case on a specific and narrow point,” said Milloy. “Global warming alarmists didn’t fare so well last time that happened,” he added.

Last March, the prestigious New York debating society Intelligence Squared sponsored a debate on global warming, which may be viewed at http://www.intelligencesquaredus.org/Event.aspx?Event=12. A pre-debate poll indicated that, by 2-to-1 (57 percent to 29 percent, with 14 percent undecided), the audience believed that manmade global warming was a crisis. But in the post-debate poll, the audience reversed its pre-debate views - the ranks of the skeptics swelled to 46 percent, the believers plummeted to 42 percent and the undecided declined slightly to 12 percent.

“That’s the power of debate,” said Milloy. “Though Al Gore aggressively promotes global warming alarmism, he unfortunately seems to lack confidence in his ability to debating climate change against others. But Al Gore’s curious reluctance will hardly stop the public from being able to see how his points stack up against that of climate experts,” Milloy concluded.
... yet another reason to watch “The Great Global Warming Swindle”!

As usual, you can read Steve Milloy’s column here every week—he’s been with us for now for 3 1/2 years.  He’ still right.

Steve Milloy’s column is posted Thursday evenings usually.

VIDEO: Operation Mission Worthy - 05: New TV ad to counter liberal-leftist smear campaign in U.S.

Written by Joel Johannesen on Friday September 14 2007 at 02:08 PM

I’ll make this Part Five in my series—an effort to help fill the leadership vacuum in Canada insofar as explaining the war on terror to Canadians—liberals, mostly, but many others too.

treasonous liberal-leftists of the George Soros-funded MoveOn.org and their despicable adMy little series is called Operation Mission Worthy to give it the tone of a military mission.  That way, the pacifist, blinkered and close-minded ideological far left (the likes of Layton’s you’ve got to be kidding party and other liberals who hate military missions designed to protect our families, and our nation’s freedom, to fight terrorism, to do our duty in encouraging and building democracy and freedom in other parts of the world, and to enhance the rights of oppressed women and children abroad) —won’t waste my bandwidth by bothering to watch it.

I liked this TV ad response (below) from the sane people at Freedomswatch.org to the treasonous liberal-leftists of the George Soros-funded MoveOn.org and their despicable ad (seen at left) which, as I’ve told you, appeared as a full-page ad in the liberals’ New York Times (for which the Times gave them a discounted price).  It appeared on the day that General Petraeus was about to embark on revealing the Report to the nation (again, note that this was in advance of the Report—a Report which showed progress in Iraq, progress which liberals are against).

(Carefully click the lower left play arrow to play within PTBC -
otherwise it takes you to YouTube
)

Incidentally, Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani embarrassed and cajoled the Treason Times into giving him the same discounted rate for an ad of his own to counter the liberal treason ad.
Click to see a bigger, legible size

And he and his campaign have this excellent Internet ad running now:
(Flash Player may be required - click arrow at lower left to play.)

Nonetheless, MoveOn.org is already readying a similarly treasonous ad for TV to start airing next week, this time attacking the President of the United States.

Here in Canada—almost nobody in positions of political leadership or in the media spends any time explaining or vociferously speaking to the necessity —the absolute requirement —that Canada join the fight in earnest and stay in the fight until the fight is won—no matter how long it takes, in the war on Islamofascism and Islamist terror. Instead, liberals here constantly question the mission and cast aspersions on the mission we are already engaged in, in Afghanistan, and demand our pathetic surrender as a nation—our values—and the outcome—be damned.  They constantly seek to reduce our nations’ resolve—possibly having the effect of reducing the resolve of our heroic fighting men in the battlefield.  They constantly find new ways of demeaning Canada and its role in the world, and lower the bar, every day, for Canada. It’s a disgrace.  Stephane Dion and Jack Layton and Gilles Duceppe are a disgrace.

Here’s the whole Operation Mission Worthy series so far.

VIDEO: Operation Mission Worthy - 04 featuring Ann Coulter

Written by Joel Johannesen on Monday September 10 2007 at 01:52 PM

This is the fourth in my series—an effort to help fill the leadership vacuum in Canada insofar as explaining the war on terror to Canadians—liberals mostly but many others too.

This one is an edited segment from Fox News Channel and its coverage of the Petraeus Report to Congress, featuring (our!) Ann Coulter as a guest commentator.

It runs about 7 minutes so the production quality from my end is minimal to save bandwidth and cost.

VIDEO: My favorite video blogger’s latest: The World’s Worst Person, Like, Ever

Written by Joel Johannesen on Friday September 07 2007 at 11:48 AM

This is fun particularly if you’re familiar with cable news channel MSNBC (Rush Limbaugh calls it “PMSNBC”) and their Keith Olberman, and his show’s weekly “The Worst Person In The World” segment, which if I understand correctly, is George Bush, every week.  (The Bush-hating Olberman famously acts all mad and calls President Bush “sir” with great punctuation at the end of every other sentence—it’s hilarious to watch this Bush Derangement Syndrome minion drone on and on like the unhinged “progressive” that he is, as he constantly calls Fox News Channel “unfair”).

VIDEO: Operation Mission Worthy - 01

Written by Joel Johannesen on Tuesday September 04 2007 at 04:21 PM

I guess I can try to help provide the leadership this country seems to require.  So I’m starting Operation Mission Worthy.  It is itself a worthy mission.

The version below is for lower bandwidth folks.  Here’s a high bandwidth (cable modems) version.  Please report problems.

VIDEO: RightHandGirl in music video on Hillary.

Written by Joel Johannesen on Friday August 17 2007 at 12:09 PM

My favorite video blogger RightHandGirl takes a swipe at those much ballyhooed pro-Obama and pro-Hillary music videos made by siliconized boob ‘n butt-wagging bombshells (with a suspiciously large load o’ cash) ... with her own music video clearly made with no cash (and, she’s naturally cute and hugely under-ballyhooed).

It’s an anti-Hillary music video.  It’s fun partly because it’s so cheesy—in a cute grassroots sort of way—unlike those other slicker than slick music videos (made with a suspiciously large load o’ cash).  RightHandGirl has also already proven her astute political mettle even at her young age, unlike those jiggly body-part political music video starlets.

Here’s the other RightHandGirl videos I’ve posted (from earliest to latest).  They’re all great:

VIDEO: Must-see - my new favorite video blogger “righthandgirl”

Righthandgirl is right on “Traitors”

About those “warning signs”, liberals…

Tomorrow’s conservatives today: Righthandgirl’s latest - Sean Penn gets it again

VIDEO: My favorite video blogger Righthandgirl as “Libby”, Lefthandgirl

VIDEO: Righthandgirl on Paris Hilton (well not literally, trust me).

VIDEO: Latest from my favorite video blogger: “Liberals say the darndest things!”

Democrats, hold onto your seats! Is the troop surge (God forbid!) ...working?!  (in “Too long for J-Lines”)
