A conservative OPINION blog --with bite. OPINION by Joel Johannesen.Wednesday, December 05, 2007
Joel’s NewsQuips: NDP woman rises on point of order: I’m a moron
As if trying to convince Canadians how idiotic they are, and how I’m COMPLETELY justified in calling them the you’ve got to be kidding party, an NDP MP, Irene Mathyssen, from Ontario, rose in the House today, just now, on a point of order (which it wasn’t) and suggested that a Conservative MP was seen, by her, last night, with a laptop at his desk in the House, and on that laptop, she said she saw a picture of “a scantily-clad woman” on the screen. Apparently, it’s a OUTRAGE! An OUTRAGE I tell you. A scantily-clad woman you say? OUTRAGEOUS!
Must have been an effort to objectify women! (Or shopping at Sears online for gifts of seasonal values and happy-tree festiveness!) This calls for rehab! OUTRAGEOUS! ... Then it was on to the NDP’s hidden agenda to legalize prostitution and whore houses in Canada.
UPDATE: CTV.ca reports: “New Democrat will apologize for political blunder”. ... And yet people will still vote for these idiots.
EXTRA: Adam Radwanski of the Globe and Mail writes: ”...Noting that it was “the eve of December 6” - in other words, linking James Moore (however tenuously) to the Montreal Massacre - is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen from an MP.” ... Mr. Radwanski, these are the people whose “leader”, Jack (“ass”) Layton, rose the other day in the House and said: “Mr. Speaker, our planet is DYING!...” [NewsQuip]
