AECL (partly) up for sale?  Best decision for Conservatives and other Canadians in weeks

Written by Joel Johannesen on Thursday May 28 2009 at 08:03 AM

Liberals and the rest of the left will bash the decision, meaning we know the government is on the exact right track.

The Soviet-style, Canadian state-owned atomic energy company that has been bungling everything nuclear for years as a result of being run by big huge worse-than-useless governments and their genius liberal government-appointed apparatchiks or bureaucrats, is finally being put into the hands of private citizens who know what in tarnation they’re doing.  Almost like in a normal free country which embraces normal free-country-style capitalism and which embraces sanity.

  • Atomic Energy of Canada’s CANDU division up for sale(National Post)
  • Ottawa to sell AECL’s nuclear branch(Globe and Mail)

Extend this right thinking sell-off to the state-owned media, the CBC, and do a few other nearly almost kind of like conservative, free-market, free country, normal Canadian-type things such as that, and I might forward a check to the Conservatives this year.

Which of course means I won’t have to spend much time looking for my check book. For example, there’s this headline:  “Canadian taxpayers to hold GM shares” (Globe and Mail)

• If you think this site is of no value, then don't pay anything for it, and it will fade into the sunset. That's capitalism at work.
