UPDATED: CBC commenter on historic church fire: “hopefully they’ll ... build something of value…”

Written by Joel Johannesen on Thursday June 11 2009 at 09:10 AM

imageOn the story of what the Canadian state-owned media, the taxpayer-funded CBC, is reporting on air as a fire destroying a 120-year-old church being investigated by Gatineau, Quebec police as a criminal act (without further explanation, because who cares, I guess!  It’s not like it’s a Muslim mosque!), one of the CBC.ca’s huge crowd of hate-filled fans wrote:

“Hopefully they’ll take this opportunity to build a library or school… Something of value for the whole community - and society in general.”

Because churches have no value, apparently, according to the CBC fan.

Is this what the CBC has bought us for our billions in taxpayer cash?  Anti-Christian near-hatred and what is certainly a display of abject anti-Christian-speak and gross intolerance, like this?  Openly expressed on taxpayer-funded web sites?  Fantastic.

More of the state-owned taxpayer-funded CBC helping to bring Canadians together again.  Thanks CBC.

Also see “THIS IS WHAT YOU DESERVE” (CBC reader comment on story of Canadian soldier dying for our country in Afghanistan).

EXTRA SUPPORTIVE OF THE CBC:
Here’s the commercial advertisement appearing (twice) on the same CBC.ca page where the above anti-Christian comment appears —it’s for “Directbuy, Inc”:

I’ve added it to my list of PushBack companies that support socialism-reliant government agencies like the CBC, which compete against citizens and work against the free-market and capitalism and freedom, and which we should therefore not support if at all possible.

UPDATE:
Upon confirmation from police that the fire was in fact arson, some of the CBC’s anti-Christian haters jump into action with comments like these, and more:

Glad to see it go. I am sick of the church telling us how to live. Those who torched it will, no doubt, be incarcerated when they should, in fact, receive the Order Of Canada.

Good article CBC

But I don’t really care. It doesn’t affect me.

• If you think this site is of no value, then don't pay anything for it, and it will fade into the sunset. That's capitalism at work.
