Sarah Palin to resign as Alaska Governor

Written by Joel Johannesen on Friday July 03 2009 at 11:36 AM

...Developing story. ...

image Apparently, will hand over Governorship to her lieutenant Governor in two weeks — July 26 — so she can spend time concentrating on other interests, not just in Alaska.

MORE: She has said to her brother that she and her staff have all had to spend so much time defending herself against the various scurrilous charges leveled by liberals and other haters, that she isn’t able to do for Alaska what it is she thinks she should as Governor.

So it seems liberals tried to screw her by browbeating her, but that has actually backfired, because now she’ll have all the time in the world to speak out and affect real and good change in America.

Bill Kristol of Weekly Standard:  “Maybe she’s crazy like a fox”. ... “I don’t rule out that it’s a stroke of genius”. ...

TELEPROMPTER MISSING: She spoke at length, extremely well, very charismatically, with a couple of quick glances at notes, from the heart, without a teleprompter, making Obama look and sound like an amateur.  SMALL UPDATE:  She spoke for 18 minutes without a teleprompter and hardly—if at all—looked at a note.  And it was a good speech.  Better than any Obama speech I’ve seen.  And moreover, it was honest.  And from the heart.

MY HOPE:  That she’ll attack — with vigor — the haters on the liberal-left —AND within the John McCain-led, so-called “moderate” smear-machine faction of the Republican Party, now that she’s freed of the limits imposed on her as a sitting Governor.

Subject: My hope too

Hi Joel:
The Dems and the media have just gotten exactly what they wanted - they have chased Palin from office.  But I think they are about to be reminded of an old adage “be careful what you wish for, you just might get it”.
One thing I liked is that she openly addressed the vicious media attack campaign that was mounted against her - and still continues.  There has never, ever been a political figure that has had to endure the garbage she has had to endure - not even Bush.
I get so tired of the media serving up sh*t sandwiches to politicians and parties they don’t like, and then having said person have to smile and thank them for it.  I hope Palin continues to treat the media with the disdain they deserve, and treat them like the enemies of conservatism that they are.
  Keep up the good work.
  Regards
  Ward

Ward,

I sincerely hope she turns into a major fighter for true blue conservatism and attacks all the people who have tried to shut her up and insult her to death.  She should take the fight right to them now. Make them answer for their actions and words.  Put them on the defensive.  She’s among the best spokesmen for base conservatism that there is out there, as far as I’m concerned.

Joel

...about Palin, possibly gearing up for a Presidential bid in 2012? (Hopefully!) That woman has more guts than anyone I’ve seen in a long time!! The “Drive-By’s” (homage to Rush) will have a field day…
  Matt

Thanks Matt.
I hope the media drive-bys do have a field day, and talk non-stop.  The more they talk, the more hideously biased, fearful, hateful, and intolerant they reveal themselves to be.

Thanks!
Joel
