U.S. House votes to totally defund ACORN

Unbelievable.

The House vote to end funding of ACORN was actually something attached to a bill in which the Obama government will take over the issuance of all student loans from the banks.  This makes the federal government the sole provider of college loans. 

I suppose this was a way for the leftists to get Republican support for the government takeover of yet another facet of life in America. 

The attachment ends all federal government funding of ACORN. 

It turns out that with the attachment of the proviso to end all funding of the left’s sacred ACORN division, the only votes against it were from Democrats.

imageLiberal media lashes out at…. Glenn Beck.  Beck’s been at the forefront of exposing the corruption at ACORN, along with Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe, and Andrew Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com. 

Here’s the latest cover on the “news” magazine Time (owned by the parent company of CNN), in which they bash Glenn Beck with this attractive cover (remember when they put Yasser Arafat on the cover and made him almost good — or at least as good as Yasser Arafat could possible look, in that savage Palestinian terrorist but oh so objective “news”  kind of way?). 

The story inside is cheerfully headlined “Mad Man: Is Glenn Beck Bad for America?” —in that “news” kind of way.  And as if I had to tell you, just as you expect, it attempts to make him and all those who enjoy his work and his show and his advocacy as total idiots.  The subheadings in their long story include “Fears of a Clown”, and “The Profit Motive”.
