PTBC J-Log
A conservative OPINION blog --with bite. OPINION by Joel Johannesen.Saturday, November 14, 2009
NewsQuips for Saturday, November 14, 2009
Hey Joel! What r NewsQuips?
Answer: They’re my patented witty commentary and expert analysis of some of the day’s headlines which caught my eye and needed witty commentary and expert analysis (or sometimes just a cheap insult. It ain’t pretty.). It starts with one. For your convenience, I normally number that one like this: “1” (we aim to please, here at PTBC!) Then it is quite often updated through the day with a 2, 3, 4, 5 and even more. Then the money REALLY starts to roll in here at PTBC as the crowds rush the Cashier to help support the PTBC effort to amuse and inform and nurture the growing conservative groundswell! Or whatever.
1. Oh I disagree. I still think they’re so hot, baby.

2. But can Karzai ski jump in that funky but ever so breezy outfit he wears? I sincerely doubt it. And if he did, would it look pretty? Again with the doubt. I can tell you this: it would look better and make more logical (and political) sense, to **ACTUAL** conservatives, than Canada’s Minister of What to Watch On TV (and Defence Minister) Peter MacKay’s knee JERK effort (with his cohort-in-idiocy, the Conservative Party “strategist” Geoff (Elmer Fudd) Norquay) to get
Canadians to stop watching Fox News Channel and cancel their subscriptions.
Skiing is all about the knees. Not being a knee JERK.
But then MacKay’s from a place that doesn’t understand either skiing or politics, or building a conservative groundswell, apparently.
3. Which reminds me! I had publicly threatened to cancel my Shaw Direct (Star Choice) satellite service and switch to any other company as a result of that asinine move by Shaw (and Peter MacKay and Elmer Fudd), and I lived up to it! Ya gotta PUSH BACK, I tells ya! As of just yesterday, we now have Bell’s satellite service at the
Johannesen household, and Shaw should hang their heads in shame as they lose an always-pay-on-time, premium customer, over their politically tendentious stupidity wherein they chose to make Fox News Channel — the best channel available in Canada — an “opt-in” channel, pretending that they did this as a result of FNC being vewy vewy baaaad (i.e., not properly left-wing moonbats like they s’posed to!). To catch up, read one of the posts in a whole series of my blog posts about the insulting, knee-jerk, over-reaction of Shaw’s liberal-leftist useful idiot minion bureaucrats, as aided and abetted by the mindless meanderings of Canada’s Minister of What to Watch On TV (and Defence Minister), Peter MacKay and his NOT PRETTY cohort Geoff (Elmer Fudd) Norquay.
Now, for fun and amusement, please join me in imagining Conservative “strategist” Norquay in one o’ them tight ski-jumper outfits that the gals wear. OK now you may optionally OPT OUT of that horrid visual, and go ahead and proceed to barf, just a little.
4. Well actually there is no #4 yet. I’m basking in the high-def splendor of our fabulous new Bell HD satellite service... Mind wondering… Hey, you know, watching the gals figure skating in the 2010 Government Games should be yummy with the high def… And the luge! Well that’ll be huge. I loath the possibility of seeing Norquay in high def. But I gotta tell you guys out there: those Fox News Babes look fabulous on the big wide-screen Bell Satellite high def service.
5. MacKay’s making news all over the place.
6. Here’s a question that isn’t so stupid: Is the Obama luvin’, CBC-partnering National Post capitalist?
CBC and National Post announce content sharing agreement
—October 01, 2009 headline
Here’s another link: PUSH BACK against those corporations that support socialism-reliant, anti-conservative, propagandizing, state-owned news media like the CBC.
7. Speaking of partnering… you really want to partner-up with communists or socialists, NatPo? Really? I don’t. Which is why I think these seemingly unrelated news headlines or banners are strangely simpatico.
8. And as we await President Obama’s China visit, here’s how “partnerships” apparently go with the We’re So, So Sorry crowd surrounding the repeatedly sorry, would-be/should-be “leader” of the free world, America’s supposed “life partner”, President Barack Hussein Obama:
This weekend in Japan —and earlier this year with the Saudi Arabians
·
Get the picture?

9. My kind of partner (by which I do not mean in the “life partner” kind of way, but in the properly traditional ridin’ the range with a see-gar kind of way) said this on his radio show yesterday, in response to the idiotic, backward Eric Holder, Attorney General of the United States and partner-in-idiocy of Barack Hussein Obama, and their horrible, political, ideological, and very dangerous decision to pretend the mastermind and the other partners of Osama bin Laden involved in the 9/11 attacks, are simply naughty “criminals”, who can be tried for their “crimes” in a regular civilian court, instead of like the savage terrorist jihadist warriors responsible for declaring and unleashing war against America and the west, that they are in reality:
“Eric Holder said these terrorists will be tried by ‘a jury of their peers.’ These guys are not citizens! Who the hell are their peers? The only one I can think of is Chris Matthews.”
—Rush Limbaugh
Stellar.
Watch for Obama to apologize and possibly bow to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
10. ... developing ... maybe…
