A conservative OPINION blog --with bite. OPINION by Joel Johannesen.Tuesday, March 14, 2006
Official state opinions—from the people’s web site CBC.CA
Today, comrades, we get lectured by another state-employed liberal-leftist official opinion-maker, Heather Mallick, about abortion, and how those stupid Americans in their “vast realms of cruelty” are dealing with it in South Dakota. There, and in progress in many other states, the democratically-elected state congress and senate and Governor all passed a law against abortion recently, obviously with good public support. (Hat tip: John S.)
It’s right there at the state-run people’s web site along with numerous other leftists columnists’ opinions, that I help pay for, even though I’m paying for this web site on my own, with its conservative opinions from conservative columnists. It’s me against my government. Me against my country which offends me and millions like me with this pro-abortion, anti-American, anti-me garbage. Beautiful.
Mostly, Mallick insults as best she can all that is South Dakota. Anything and everything. The people (personally degrading them as much as she can to “prove” her point which is manifestly that these people are clueless Christian pro-life idiots and should be mocked), even the Governor’s residence—everything. It’s America! She even admits it as she says, “I greatly enjoy mocking the red states [Republican-voting states which represents the vast majority of America] as they eagerly damage their own interests by increasing the misery quotient for women.”
That’s how people who are so shallow in intellectual scope attempt to win arguments. Well that and throwing pies in faces when conservatives give speeches.
Then she spews forth this barbaric little bon mot which I guess is ultimately designed to drive her point home to Canada and the like-minded idiots here:
If I were pregnant and earning working-class wages in Canada, Sgt. Harper’s decision to destroy national daycare in its infancy might well make me decide to have an abortion. You can’t be a single mother and prosper; it isn’t possible here.
What leftist pro-abortionist extremist feminist blather. From the state. It would be detestable in any media. But it’s an official state opinion on Canada’s state-media. No, I do not know why Canada needs state-media to offer-up state opinions on matters of conscience, particularly in this manner. Apparently the state believes that we’re incapable of forming rational thought on our own, on such important life issues, without their taxpayer-funded leftist guidance.
Here’s the first letter written in response to the leftist blather:
LETTERS:
Ms. Mallick states that if she were a working class single mother in Canada she may decide to abort a pregnancy based on Stephen Harper’s child care policy. So now we espouse the idea that if the state is unwilling to look after my child in a way that is agreeable to me, I should consider aborting it.
If this is the level of moral disconnect from abortion that has been reached by the mainstream liberal media in this country, it’s a wonder any children are born at all outside of middle and upper class families.
And in the same paragraph, she speaks of “destroying” something in its “infancy”. Nice choice of words.
