Rush copies Joel: labels American media “state-run media”.  ...Of course I’m not using hyperbole…

Written by Joel Johannesen on Wednesday June 03 2009 at 08:18 AM

Rush Limbaugh show  In one segment, yesterday, Rush called the media “the state-run media”, eleven times.  It’s only just barely hyperbolic, particularly in the case of the General Electric-owned NBC, and of course the New York Times

And he was referring mostly to NBC and its MSNBC, the Obama-promoting news division, which, it could be very credibly argued, is the official mass-media arm of the Obama administration along with the New York Times, much as the Canadian liberals’ government-owned CBC is the official arm — or other appendage — of the liberal-left political parties in Canada.  But he also means the other “drive-by” media like Associated Press.

Where does that leave Canada’s CBC, which is actually state-owned and state-run, and which by shear coincidence I have always correctly and factually called “state-owned” and “state-run”?  And what about what I call “liberalvision” generally, which includes the CTV and Global TV, and which I credibly refer to as “divisions” of Canada’s liberal-left political machine?

...Which once again raises the obvious question:  Would Rush’s head explode if he lived in Canada?  And the answer is, of course, yes.  Yes, yes it would.  Which is why I counsel Rush to remain in the United States.. not that I wouldn’t love his help over here…
