Another Liberal Party honcho resigns amidst horrid anti-Israel remarks

Written by Joel Johannesen on Wednesday August 23 2006 at 12:39 PM

UPDATED at 1:45 PM PDT—see below

Hat tip to a reader, Victor, who informed me of this when it was fresh, but I was too busy to deal with it!

Thomas Hubert, the party’s youth leader in British Columbia, has apologized and resigned after writing on his blog:

“One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter ... History will remember Hezbollah as an organization that stood up to the most vile ‘nation’ in human history.”

“The most vile nation in history”.  That’s Israel, according to this Liberal Party executive council member.  Note the quotes around nation.

His blog now opens with this page:

...which at least isn’t the writing typical of a savage Neanderthal ass.

According to a former Liberal advisor and now Liberal blogger, Warren Kinsella, Hubert also wrote this on yet another Liberal blog:

Certainly other liberals think precisely the same thing.  And it seems to me the further left you go, the more prevalent that sort of sentiment.  And yet these are the people who would have us believe they’re the “tolerant” ones.  The “compassionate” ones.  The ones who are all about the “multicultural”.  The “intelligent, nuanced thinkers”.

One can only imagine what these people think in private, and what they say to each other when nobody else is listening.

Vote liberal.  Get more of that.

UPDATE 1:45 PM PDT Aug 23

I did some more reading at a liberal blog where Hubert had done some thinking out loud and found another remark that stood out for me.  Several of his erstwhile fellow liberals and Liberals had questioned his adherence to the liberal cause, and he answered with this:

“I am a “real” Liberal. I am currently VP of Communications for the Young Liberals of Canada in BC. If you don’t believe me, you can telephone me.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and bet that his phone is off the hook, much like his level of tolerance and intellect.  And I fully accept that he is a “real” Liberal anyway—no need for that phone call.

Since the latest resignation is from the youth wing, it is clear that young Liberals are indoctrinated early on how to be tolerant and compassionate - the Liberal way.

I read recently the young liberals were having a ‘contest’ whereby they can win an ipod if they obtain pictures of certain conservative MP’s they consider provacative.  Perhaps the young liberals should be more concerned about rooting out racist, murderous terrorist supporting, anti-semites out of their own ranks.  That would seem to be more of a priority but hey, you can’t win an ipod that way….yikes… rolleyes

    I posted this on Sunday.

    Here’s the story

    Grit paparrazi stalking Tory MPs

OTTAWA—A war of words has erupted between the federal Liberal party youth wing and some backbench Tory MPs over a candid-camera contest launched last week.

The young Liberals say they are looking for recent pictures of Conservative MPs who are rarely seen in public because they have a history of stirring up controversy that could embarrass their party.

“As much as (Prime Minister) Stephen Harper may try to keep these guys in the back, it’s important that Canadians know that this is the real face of the Conservative party,” said Richard Diamond, president of the Young Liberals of Canada.

The Liberals will give an iPod as a prize for the person who can offer the best picture of one of the seven Conservative MPs on their list—Rob Anders, Cheryl Gallant, Rahim Jaffer, Collin Mayes, Bob Mills, Pierre Poilievre, and David Sweet. The contest runs until Sept. 4.

They never let us down. I love it. It’s just so perfect when the Liberals, lib/left reveal their true nature. As the heat goes up on them they never fail to prove themselves to be the exact opposite to what they claim they are and are in fact the very thing they accuse conservative Conservatives and Christians of. As with almost all leftists when they say and do these things they are generally very understanding and tolerent of their own hypocracy. God help anybody else if they dare go off the path. As with the CBC scandal it will all be forgotten because they don’t keep replaying their own bad news for weeks on end like they do for their opponents.

It is beautiful to see the “hair on fire” responses from the loony left to the Two Simple words from a man with integrity and resolve (two qualities the liberals and dippers don’t know the meaning of).  The Two Simple words ... “Measured Response”.

This kind of depravity breaks my heart. Support for Israel is my litmus test. I rely on it for all human contact, including family. It can’t be a mere “difference of opinion.” for me. It’s a measure of morality.

Sadly, it seems my unconditional attitude separates me from three-quarters of humanity.
How can it possibly be that seemingly reasonable people can side with useless, vicious savages against the worlwide handful of Jews, who have given us so much?

Ah, screw it. Once started, I may never shutup.

No need to phone you Thomas, there’s no doubt in my mind that you’re a ‘dyed in the wool’ Liberal.  It must really suck to be a Liberal but I’ll never know the feeling….and who do I thank for that?  Well, our Christian God of course you silly, who else?  Oh darn, there I go talking well over Thomas’s head about a subject he and others like him know very little about, if anything at all.

It’s starting to look like liberals are oozing hate from the very core of their souls (of course, liberals don’t think they have souls because they evolved from primordial goo).  I actually feel sorry for these poor fools.  It must have been extremely difficult for them to hold back their inevitable eruption of hatred for this long.

At this rate, it’s only a matter of time before it will be necessary to put the Liberal Party of Canada on the list of terrorist organizations.
