Obama administration attacks Pakistan with missiles - kills 22 people without reading Miranda rights

Written by Joel Johannesen on Saturday January 24 2009 at 09:42 AM

EXTREMELY well-hidden fun fact:  The Obama administration has fired bombs in Pakistan this week, without first attempting to negotiate or share even one cup of tea and a nice biscuit with the al-Qaeda folks they were targeting.  And certainly no Miranda rights or legal representation.  They just fired rockets from an aerial drone and killed ‘em.

And of course in the process, innocent people are likely to have been, um, “needlessly slaughtered in an obvious war-mongering and totally hateful war-crime which the U.N. did not approve in advance, meaning Obama is now a war criminal who should be impeached and then, I don’t know, arrested and jailed, or something, and the world will HATE the imperialist terrorist nation of America and everything it stands for.”  (I think that’s what they called it when these sorts of things happened under Bush…).

At least they didn’t “torture them” by dripping water on their heads at Club Gitmo before supper and dessert.

Death toll from missile strikes in Pakistan now at 22

Death toll in two ‘US missile strikes’ in Pakistan rises to 21: official

The strikes were the first under new US President Barack Obama and effectively dashed any hopes that Pakistani officials were nurturing that the new administration in Washington will halt such strikes.

Don’t get me wrong.  I “fully support the troops”.

Here’s the Big O’s foreign policy in a nutshell:

    Boom goes the dynamite…good.
    Capturing and interrogating the enemy….bad.
Releasing the enemy to fight another day-top priority.

CNN just ran the story about the Afghan school girls who had acid thrown in their faces last NOVEMBER. November??? Where was this story when Bush was in charge? I’ll put $100 down now that Obama uses this story when he speaks to Parliament in February.

A little off topic, the PROUD in PTBC is back. Why the change of heart?
    a) you know something about the impending demise of the HRC?
    b) the CBC dropped the Canadian from their name and are now the BC (causing much confusion on the left coast)?
    c) you discovered “Stock” beer?
d you were standing close to someone smoking an Obama cigarette?
    e) the bear skin rug that Sarah Palin sent you looks suspiciously like Fidel Castro?
    Just curious.
