Associated Press covers Edwards’ campaign end slightly differently than Giuliani’s

Written by Joel Johannesen on Wednesday January 30 2008 at 05:28 PM

According to Fox News Channel’s Brit Hume and his Special Report show today:

Associated Press reports on the ends of the Democratic Party’s John Edwards campaign and the Republican Rudy Giuliani campaign like this:

On Edwards:

“Edwards waged a spirited top-tier campaign against the two better-funded rivals, even as he dealt with the stunning blow of his wife’s recurring cancer diagnosis ... ending a scrappy underdog bid in which he steered his rivals toward progressive ideals while grappling with family hardship that roused voters’ sympathies.”

On Giuliani:

“Once the Republican presidential front-runner, Giuliani suffered a debilitating defeat in Tuesday’s Florida primary…Tuesday’s result was a remarkable collapse for Giuliani… Florida proved to be less than hospitable.”
