DEMOCRAT Gov of New York set to resign amidst prostitution claim. Media doesn’t mention DEMOCRAT
DEVELOPING… UPDATES BELOW…

Breaking story from New York, where the Democratic Party’s shining star, the recently elected Governor Eliot Spitzer, is set to resign after possibly being indicted soon on prostitution charges.
*** CTV.ca fails to mention even once in the entire story that he is a Democrat ***.
Compare and contrast this with how the media ensures that they mention the word REPUBLICAN approximately 60 to 80 times in every story every time a Republican is alleged to have parked in a no stopping zone.
• CBC.ca not even on the story at this time. Perhaps they’re trying to find some parking violations in the Republican Party.
• CNN mentions he’s a Democrat… in the TWELFTH PARAGRAPH.
• Associated Press story fails to mention the word DEMOCRAT even once in lengthy story. (I later saw this is where the CTV.ca got their story).
• NBC web site FAILS to mention DEMOCRAT even once in entire story.
• ABCNews.com uses AP story (above) and FAILS TO MENTION DEMOCRAT even once.
• CBSNews.com partly uses AP story (above) and also FAILS TO MENTION DEMOCRAT even once
• Globe and Mail join the club, and uses AP story (above). FAILS TO MENTION DEMOCRAT even once.
• Toronto Star uses an AP story that MENTIONS he’s a DEMOCRAT, in paragraph EIGHT.
• CBC finally on it. FAILS TO MENTION DEMOCRAT EVEN ONCE.
• FoxNews.com FAILS TO MENTION DEMOCRAT even once.
• Toronto Sun FAILS TO MENTION DEMOCRAT even once.
• Maclean’s magazine online FAILS TO MENTION DEMOCRAT EVEN ONCE.
UPDATE:
I was looking at CNN.com to see who’s covering the Spitzer story and how they’re covering it. Apparently that PTBC blog is right on the money! Had to give my head a shake… but at least I didn’t click the link!
UPDATE 2:
CBC’s story on **Republican**: http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2007/08/29/craig-support.html
Another CBC story on **Republican**: http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2007/09/10/us-senator.html
Another CBC story on **Republican**: http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2006/10/20/foley-priest.html
UPDATE 3:
CBC Changes story—tags “Democratic” onto end of story.
THEIR ORIGINAL 3:47 PM STORY:
He was best known for his investigations into Wall Street crimes, such as bid rigging and other fraudulent practices, Spitzer’s website says.
With files from the Associated Press
THEIR 5:09 PM REVISION:
He was best known for his investigations into Wall Street crimes in the wake of the Enron, WorldCom and Adelphia collapses, and was once touted as a possible Democratic contender for the U.S. presidency.
With files from the Associated Press
UPDATE 4:
Democrat Eliot Spitzer, like some CBC Newsworld guest | panel experts on | politics, is a guest diarist at the far-leftist web site The Daily Kos.
