Dow wow!  Stock market ends day with biggest rise in market history - up 938 points

Written by Joel Johannesen on Monday October 13 2008 at 04:41 PM

The Dow was up about 938 points today, or 11% in just one day.  Biggest rise in history.  NASDAQ was also up—194.74 points, or 11.81%

Everyone exited.

Even our turkey (by which I mean the bird we’re eating tonight—not the CBC) was excited.

Liberals?  Not so much.  Throws damper on bid for power.

Darn the luck.

I expect it to go down Tuesday with a lot of people who bought on Friday selling off with the blip.

  1. Dacre says:

The left and their media thrive on bad news. It should be obvious to the masses that the left want the worst possible for them. They love misery and wish all of us little people to share in it equally. Everybody should consider himself a victim and downtrodden. Only the left can look at misery with such glee. The MSM never likes good news.

Further to Dacre’s point, the MSM will stop this doomsday prognostications once their desired candidate/party takes power and then if things take a nose dive after that it will conveniently point to the previous administration for as long as the sleeping masses don’t start questioning them about their bias.  (note: this never happens)  They will spew that correcting the previous mistakes will take a long time.  Long enough for a CBC journalist or senior beurercrat to secure a governor general postion or another high ranking post at the CRTC.  After all they served their master for so many years.  I agree, the MSM are simply some of the most self-centred, pond sucking creatures that hopefully if we ever a majority of canadians/americans woke up and saw it for what it is then these birds would be singing another tune standing on the unemployment line.

No doubt about it daver. The game is played over and over again.
