It’s Monday: Liberals attempt to pie Alberta premier; fail. Supreme Court may overturn.

Written by Joel Johannesen on Monday July 09 2007 at 10:00 AM

The only thing more lame and stupid than attempting to throw a pie at someone —is missing.  No.  Let me start that again.  The only think more lame and stupid is missing and then when you’re arrested, you kick and scream and cry like a whiny baby.

Duo fails in attempt to pie Alberta premier

1 hour, 16 minutes ago

CALGARY (CP) - Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach was the target of an attempted “pieing” today at the premier’s annual Stampede breakfast in Calgary.

Stelmach had a security detachment as he shook hands with people in the crowd when two young women attempted to hit him with a pie from across a table.

The pie ended up falling harmlessly on the ground.

One girl was taken into custody without incident but the other was carried away kicking and screaming by three or four Calgary police. ...

I have no doubt the Civil Liberties Union will sue the Stelmach government seeking compensation for causing liberals to cry.  Then the girls will get Order of Canada awards.
