The self-anointed Mr. Respect, Michael Ignatieff, once again refers to Prime Minister as “this guy”

imageIRONY:  He was talking about — no he was whining about — Prime Minister Harper’s “respect for institutions” in light of Prime Minister Harper’s new appointments to the Senate, claiming that Harper is showing “disrespect” for the institution called the Senate.

Stay “respectful”, Ignatieff.

”... These attacks on the senate showed a flagrant disrespect for an institution! ... instead of respecting the second chamber ... this guy said we’ve gotta have these crime bills! .... It shows disrespect for our institutions!  .... and I think it says a lot aboat his respect for our institutions! ...”

  1. Taking power and control of Canadian institutions from Liberals/leftists is showing disrespect in the eyes of Iggy and all of his fellow travellers. Don’t forget Joel they are afterall the “natural governing party”. And when “those guys” are in power the whole world loves us. It must be frustrating for the socialsit intellectual scholars.

  2. if this is a repeat sorry

think we have just about had as much of michael ignatieff as we can handle. the pompous, professorial, self indulgent, look down the nose, lecturing is about to make me ill. last night I had a nightmare and iggy was sing a ditty to the tune of Leonard Cohen’s Chelsea Hotel. The good thing is I woke up. the bad thing is the tune is still going through my head. I jsut have to share it with you. So with appologies to Leonard Cohen - Chelsea Hotel (and if any one has the ability to do a set up on utube please do)Liberal Hotel
As might be written and performed by Michael Ignatieff, with apologies to Leonard Cohen:

    Liberal Hotel

I remember it well the Liberal Hotel
We were talking so brave and so neat
Rae banging his head at the foot of the bed
While my limo awaits in the street

There were reasons and that was Ottawa
We were running for the power and the fame
And that was called politics for the minions I knew
Probably still is for those of them left

And then you got away didn’t you Stephane baby
When we stabbed your back in the crowd
You got away cause in Parliament all you said
    I defeat you; I don’t defeat you
    I defeat you; I don’t defeat you
And all if that jiving around

I remember it well in the Liberal Hotel
I was famous but hardly a legend
Voters told me then they preferred common sense men
And for me wouldn’t make an exception

I was clenching my fist for the ones like us
Who are oppressed by our magnificent minds
The House is a bore I can’t take any more
Guess really I was just visiting

Now I will get away won’t I baby
I’ll just turn my back on the crowd
I’ll get away cause in Parliament I just say
    I defeat you; I don’t defeat you
    I defeat you;  I don’t defeat you
And all of that jiving around

I don’t mean to suggest I love Canada best
I could fall for some other country
I remember it well in the Liberal Hotel
But don’t think of you all that often
