PTBC J-Log
A conservative OPINION blog --with bite. OPINION by Joel Johannesen.Friday, June 13, 2008
Tim Russert dead
Shocking news from Washington as NBC News legend and host of Meet The Press, Tim Russert, 58, died of a massive heart attack within the past couple of hours.
One of the most fair mainstream political newsmen left, Russert valued journalism done right and had among the highest standards. Also known to be about the nicest person you could meet.
It’s a big loss for all of us interested in politics.

Terry Haryett says:
Tim Russert was the only journalist I ever saw ask Barry Hussien Obama a tough question.

Dave Hodson says:
Russert was excellent at keeping bias out of his journalistic activities. He was a well-known Democrat, yet he didn’t let those personal opinions bias his questioning. He asked tough questions of everybody he was interviewing. Wow. Fair and balanced journalism that lets the viewer make up his own mind in an honest way. What a unique concept! It sure would be nice if journalists like Russert were the norm instead of the exception. He will be missed.
