Fair & balanced CBC again engages experts: On the left, Huffington Post; further left, Daily Kos

Written by Joel Johannesen on Wednesday June 04 2008 at 09:21 AM

The state-owned CBC once again couldn’t find anyone better than a blogger from the infamous, despicable, far-left Daily Kos blog (Jeffrey Feldman, whom they laughingly chose to label as a “cultural anthropologist”), and the far-left Huffington Post editor (Rachel Sklar, whom the CBC last used as an expert on the “Sex and the City” movie over the banner “SEX AND SOCIETY”), for their ever so balanced takes on the Democratic Party now that the primaries are over.

Apparently the pair are the CBC’s “regular U.S. political panel”.  Oh dear.  Quite a “panel”.

Neither guest was labeled as left-wing or even “liberal” despite the fact that both of them make a living advocating far left-wing politics and attacking anything conservative, and the fact that both of them are engaged by far-left web sites.  CBC Newsworld anchor Suhana Meharchand started the introduction this way:

“Helping us chart the course is our regular U.S. political panel, cultural anthropologist Jeffrey Feldman is the author of a new book, it’s called ‘Outright Barbarous: How the Violent Language of the Right Poisons American Democracy’...”.

Since I’m Mr. Curious, I looked up his book on Amazon (sales rank: #43,774), and what do you know, the first “review” is by Arianna Huffington (where’s Markos?).  I’ll go ahead and add the link to our Ann Coulter (6-time New York Times best seller) columns right here.  Thanks Arianna.

“Outright Barbarous turns the spotlight on the rhetorical thuggery of the Right, exposing how the verbal excesses are being perpetrated not just by media blowhards like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh but by conservative thought leaders. But Feldman does more than point fingers; he offers practical steps for cleaning up our too-often-toxic political discourse.”
—Arianna Huffington

How ironic given that the Huffington Post site hosts bloggers and commenters who routinely offer-up absolutely barbaric, despicable thoughts, barbaric language, barbaric personal attacks, barbaric death wishes against various conservatives, and disgraceful barbaric personal smears.

Forget barbaric though.  Here’s an utter disgrace:  if all you ever watched was the state-owned CBC, you might possibly be woefully under-informed and purposely steered in your thinking and understanding of events by little more than left, and far-left thinking, which is identified (by omission of facts) as pure and objective.  Considering the state-owned and state-run CBC is taxpayer funded against our will, that’s actually barbaric too.

Have I mentioned that state-owned and state-run media should be banned in this country and that notion should be enshrined in our constitution yet this week?

State-run CBC does U.S. election.  On one side: Daily Kos writer; on other: Huffington Post writer
(Notice that in that interview, the Daily Kos man appears to be in the exact same shirt and dinner jacket as today’s.)

• Also Canada’s liberal media proves (again):  it’s biased in favour of / obsessed with… liberals

• ...and many other such posts.

• If you think this site is of no value, then don't pay anything for it, and it will fade into the sunset. That's capitalism at work.
