Now that the “science” has (once again!) proven to be anything but “settled” by the stark revelation of ClimateGate which only Fox News Channel is covering on TV, and of course me and the other conservatives on the internet, the goal posts are ONCE AGAIN being moved by the liberal-leftist media. Now they are trying to move from their sacred phrase “the science is settled” (and its equally fallacious and unscientific and blatantly fascist cousin, “the debate is over”), to “well golly the science don’t matter anyhow”. The fantastic NewsBusters.org is on it:
LA Times Changes Its Mind: Science Doesn’t Matter On Climate Bill
By Candance Moore
November 22, 2009 - 19:18 ETThat thumping sound you hear is the Los Angeles Times moving the goal posts in the global warming debate.
On November 22, while responding to the growing scandal about alleged proof that global warming is a hoax, the Times brushed it off with a puzzling claim that science should have no bearing on climate legislation.
What a difference a few leaked e-mail messages could make: just over a month ago, the exact same paper had insisted science was behind the push for regulation. Now with the validity of that science in doubt, the Times was quick to find a different angle. ...
Previous examples of the left moving the goal posts include attempting to change their phrase “man-made global warming” to “climate change” when it became clear to them that the temperatures have actually been going DOWN for the past decade, and may continue to do so.
Sometimes liberals just lie by adding words or phrases to other words or phrases to make them sound better. “And early learning” is added to the Liberal and you’ve got to be kidding party’s demands for a “child care” —or what is actually a socialist government-run child daycare ‘n nationwide institutional social program, to which I always add “and early learning —wink!”. And “It’s for the kids!” is another perennial favorite. “Public option” is one of the biggest farces so far this century, but the Obama/Pelosi/Reid debacle has only just begun.
