Jimmy Carter: a walking code violation

National Post – CHRIS GRAYTHEN /GETTY IMAGES

Reading a story in the National Post right now, about Michael Moore’s seatmate at the 2004 Democratic Party Convention, Jimmy Carter, the worst president in history.  Carter, or as he calls himself, Jimma Cotta, has taken to trying to deflect and rewrite his true and well established place in history by calling President Bush the worst president in history, on the heels of such luminaries as those American political strategist/geniuses Barbra Streisand, Sean Penn, Cotta’s pal Michael Moore, the lunatic Rosie O’Donnell, and every liberal in Canada.

The story is headlined: “Code for ex-presidents brokenCarter’s criticism of Bush’s foreign policy goes against the tradition of keeping silent”.

Carter is among the biggest sufferers of the dreaded Bush Derangement Syndrome.  And it’s getting worse.  The NP story and its headline put me in the mind of cartoon character Hank Hill of the great show King of the Hill

King of the Hill characters: Dale at middle right, and Hank middle left

Hank was talking to the boys in the alley and warned the boys about giving pal Dale more trouble than he’s already got,  saying, “We’re putting extra stress on a structure that wasn’t up to code in the first place”.  Well that’s Cotta.  Not up to code.  And suffering from extra self-induced Bush Derangement Syndrome stress.
