More examples of that famous liberal “tolerance”

Confused about “tolerance” and what should and shouldn’t be tolerated?  Here’s an actual lesson from a liberal, which so far as I can tell, has caused absolutely no outrage among the populous at all whatsoever and not one letter to the editor (which is yet another valuable lesson unto itself):

Only “agreeables” should be allowed to vote in any election—especially at the sacred civic government level, if I understand correctly.  And certainly only “agreeables” should be allowed to run in any election, making voting easier in the first instance.

One former Vancouver city councillor, Alan Herbert (gay) is putting forth the notion that only those who agree with and actively promote gayness and gay ‘marriage’ should be allowed to run for office, if I understand correctly.

The former “Non Partisan Association” (and folks, this is the “center-right” choice in Vancouver!) councillor says that a current NPA candidate, Ronald Leung, shouldn’t run—shouldn’t even be allowed to run—because he is in favor of traditional marriage.  You know, that weird concept of joining male humans with female humans in holy matrimony, what with their crazy penises and vaginas and boobs and things, to create good traditional Canadian “families”.  I mean if I understand that whole “procreation” thing correctly, and common sense, that dude named “God”, the things that build our country, and you know, what not.

Traditional marriage and those who support it are all WRONG!  Wrong I tell you!  And so they should have less rights than us “correct” people have.  Gay people and those who support them should have more rights! We’re liberals! We’re “progressive”!  We’re the tolerant ones!  Vote liberal!

Oh it all reminds me of Germany in the crazy 30’s, if I understand Nazis correctly.

You see, Leung made a grave politically-incorrect error:  Aside from being in favor of traditional marriage, the popular Chinese radio show host said that he wouldn’t (WOULDN’T!)  take part in Vancouver’s disgusting, abhorrent (my words) “gay pride parade”—and that’s like saying you’re not particularly fond of it!  Imagine the outrage!  Not fond of participating in a parade at which promoting gayness, gay sex, group sex, cross-dressing, transsexuality, and nudity or damn-near nudity, and salacious lewd, crude vulgarity on public city streets past town halls and picnickers on Sunday morning right after church, for all the little girls and boys in the streets to see and learn —-is de rigeur—and more than a few other things are “rigeur” too if you know what I mean.  Imagine the audacity!

Imagine not liking that!  Publicly!  Imagine exercising your freedom in this way!  That ain’t liberal!

I wonder if Mr. Leung is a joooo!  (Probably not, given his inherent Chinese-ness, but it was a reasonable thing to type just there.)

Leung said he may oppose the redefinition of marriage to include same-sex couples, but that doesn’t mean he’s homophobic.

“I am not anti-gay. I support all the rights of all Canadians. But if my point of view is on whether to redefine the definition of marriage, does that equate into anti-gay or not anti-gay?” he asked.

“Half of the people in Canada did not support the redefinition of marriage and I talked about that on my program. I reflect the opinion of Canadians, especially my listeners. You can’t say half of the people in Canada are anti-gay if they don’t support the redefinition of marriage.”

Here’s the kicker:

But Herbert said he is worried that if Leung is elected, he would weaken Vancouver’s long tradition as a tolerant city…

“In a pluralistic society, Vancouver has led the battle in civil rights issues for years, and this is a country that demonstrates true tolerance in a way that is not equalled anywhere else in the world,” he said. “I am not prepared to have those who would be willing to trade away my civil rights there. I will not tolerate that.”

No sorry.  Here’s the real kicker:

“While he’s entitled to his position—he can hold whatever opinions he wants and he can say whatever he wants—I don’t think someone like that should be holding public office. I think the NPA should be looking at him and removing him from their slate.”

Soo you see all Conservative Party MPs should resign, be sent home, and never be allowed to run again.  Because they’re in favor of traditional marriage.

All the millions of conservative voters who voted for them should be spanked, then reprimanded some more, then have their vote forfeited forever more until they promise to vote for liberals.  They’re not agreeable to the liberal position on things!  Besides, some of them might be Christians!  Or Jews!

As for me, I would recommend to Vancouverites that they vote for Ronald Leung and against all other NPA candidates unless the NPA entirely renounces the position taken by the ever-so-tolerant Alan Herbert

Did you hear that the great Rosa Parks died yesterday?
