57% would like their province to use the Notwithstanding Clause to ban private health insurance

According to an Ipsos-Reid poll released today, most people think provinces should use the Canadian Charter of Rights’ Notwithstanding Clause to ban citizens from exercising their right to use their own money to purchase insurance to protect their health and that of their families.  These people believe it should be banned.

They believe, as the Minister of North Korean-style Healthcare, Ujjal Dosanjh, and all of the liberal-left in this country agree—that Canada should indeed maintain its North Korean-style healthcare system.

The liberal-left have clearly done a marvelous job of lying to Canadians and fully obfuscating the issues surrounding the healthcare system.  Eureka!

And also, suddenly, we find that using the Notwithstanding Clause is perfectly OK with Canadians!  Did anybody interview Conservative MP Randy White about this dramatic turn of events?  He sure was whacked as a wacko when he suggested that it be used to protect the institution of marriage and such.

Yet, as if to prove that the liberal-left in this country has royally screwed-up the thinking of Canadians on the healthcare file, fully 70% said they believe that they should be able to buy services from a private healthcare provider if they want to.

If somebody can make sense of that, please do.  I’ll wait right here.

And once again proving my point about leading a dishonest debate about healthcare in this country, that old bugaboo “American-Style Healthcare” (

TM

Canada’s liberal-left) is brought up by the pollsters almost as if it’s now considered a law to do so.  Thus the poll dutifully indicates:

But Canadians are split when it comes to whether or not they think the court’s ruling will lead to American-style healthcare in Canada – half think it will (50%), the other half does not (47%).

I’m starting to think the liberal-left plan is to simply confuse the citizenry.  Something is confusing them.  Possible sources of confusion: The media; and the rest of the liberal-left.
