Am I hearing pro-communist-speak creep into the CBC?

imageThe far-left socialist (communist?) Peter Julian talks.

I hear words like “publicly-funded healthcare is more cost-effective” and “it’s better for Canadians.

Sounds like Fidel Castro.  Socialists know what’s good for us.  Better than we do.

But then Don Newman, host of show called Politics on the state-run CBC Newsworld division of the Liberal Party, starts sounding very much like a communist to me.

Listen to the audio clip as he questions why private enterprise needs to get involved in anything when the government could fund things.  He doesn’t even remotely sense that he has it completely backward—that government should only provide those things which private citizens can’t provide.  No, to him, if the government has the cash, there is no need for private enterprise.  He sounds like an anti-capitalist to me.  In point of fact, he sounds very much like a communist to me.  See if you don’t agree.

Just to be sure, he repeats it again in his next question—as if pleading for the Conservative Party MP, Lee Richardson, to explain why it is that communism isn’t the way of the future for Alberta, and indeed Canada.

UPDATE:  Video flick removed due to threat from CBC

That’s on state-run, taxpayer-funded CBC.  Is this where they’re trying to set the bar now?  Folks have to justify capitalism now?

It’s scary, folks.
