Carole James, socialist (Marxist?) spits out socialist prattle

(Note:  this is really of interest only to my British Columbia readers.)

Backward socialist (quasi Marxist?) British Columbia NDP leader Carole James outlined part of her election platform Thursday while speaking to some of her deputies—the taxpayer-paid government employees of the socialist health care system—members of the Health Employees Union.

Like a good socialist (Marxist?), she promised to end the privatization of health care services.  “We won’t be privatizing health-care services,” she pronounced.  “And legislation that the Campbell government has introduced to make that happen will be repealed.”

Why?  Not because it would help the horrible, abysmal socialist health care system get better, but because it would help labor unions.

And that’s what the NDP is all about—big labor unions and socialism.

The capitalist system—you know, like the one the Communists in China are finding out is making their country rich as they adopt more and more capitalism—is no good for Carole James, the NDP, and their vision of British Columbia.  China be damned!  They want to adapt their former, now-abandoned economic model for our British Columbia.

And that’s what’s meant by “progressive”.

Somebody should question whether Carole James is remotely sane.

Nothing short of all-out Marxist government will do for Carole James—and her labor union deputies who own her and her party.  Big labor got her elected leader, and big labor is who she sleeps with politically.

James will do whatever appeases labor unions.  It need not make economic sense, practical sense, or even political sense.  Appealing to the labor unions means big bucks for her and her party.  If it means turning back the clock to the 1970’s, so be it.

Almost to prove my point, she breathlessly added to her adoring, clapping and cheering labor unionists, that BC Ferries will go into reverse, and will become a full-fledged government operation again, Soviet Union style, and directed by the central planning authority, Soviet Union style, again.  Because it was working so well before.  Losing billions of dollars.  But, and here’s the important thing, it was funneling hundreds of millions of dollars to overpaid and under-worked union members.  That’s what matters to Carole James and all NDP voters.
