CBC posts story on Pope, who promotes being good stewards of Earth; CBC reader/haters go wild

More vile, militant atheism and pure anti-Catholic hate from the readers of CBC.ca, which the CBC approved.  Remember:  they pre-approve comments before deciding whether to post them or not.  See my PTBC CBC Reader Comments Category for more examples in other CBC articles—some examples worse than these selected examples today.

This is from an article at CBC.ca: ‘Insatiable consumption’ threatening the Earth, Pope tells Australian crowd”

When one man sees something others dont, we usually call it hallucination. When thousands of people hallucinates, its called religion.

[…] They continue to fleeece the poor, especially in the third world, … Return to the hillside religious presentations!!
Sadly, you are too comfortable in the west preaching to the ‘blue rinse’ crowd!!

[…] Also the Vatican backed the Nazi regime of Hitler. These are things that people don’t see about the church

[…] I was disappointed though that the Pope didn’t acknowledge his church’s role in overrunning this planet with greedy humans. I guess that would be too much to ask for.

It’s easy for the Pope to jump on the climate change bandwagon, after all it’s not going to affect his life style. But what really gets my goat is that any civilized country would let the Roman Catholic Church hold a youth festival in the first place. It’s like leading sheep to the slaughter. And while the Pope pontificates about the environment he makes no apologies for the sex abuse scandals which he himself tried to cover up. That makes Ratzinger a moral coward in my opinion.

Let me get this straight…

A Nazi who leads a group that says birth control is wrong flew halfway around the world to complain about violence and consumption are ruining the world?

Wow….just wow…

Thank goodness he’s doing something useful instead of attacking women and gays.

If the Holy Roman Catholic Church would enter the 21st century and remove their archaic stance on birth control (a true crime against humanity), perhaps there would be less people on this planet (and fewer painful deaths from over-population, starvation and associated diseases) and therefore, less ‘insatiable consumption’.

“Man shall have dominion over the fish, the animals…”

With a dangerous statement like that, I’m surprised there is anything left of the Earth at all.

This is merely one passage of many in that hysterical collection of nursery rhymes and fairy tales – aka, the Bible – which gives religious fanatics the belief that they are free to rape, pillage, and plunder the earth while God stands by to cover their backsides.

What a disgrace.

The Pope should be forced to debate either Richard Dawkins or Christopher Hitchens in person. Preferably both at the same time. Maybe then will the Pope realize what an obscenity against common-sense and nature religion is.

Well, it’s worth a try.

The deniers of global warming and over-consumption refuse to believe the scientists.

Maybe they’ll believe the Pope – most of them are religious nutjobs anyway.

“…“poison” are afflicting the world’s social environment, he said, such as substance abuse, along with the exaltation of violence and sexual degradation, for which he blamed television and the internet.”

Maybe Mr. Ratzinger should look at his own organization for ‘exaltation violence and sexual degradation.’ The teachings of this organization have propagated hate and division for centuries. Its warped ideal system still permeates our ‘secular’ countries laws and citizens.

I believe that this is an evil organization, which has done far more harm than good since its inception.

“Insatiable Consumption”!!! Has anyone seen St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican? The Roman Catholic Church invented “Insatiable Consumption” and slave labour for that matter.

As I’ve said before in other PTBC CBC Reader Comment Category posts, the CBC website is one of the most divisive, most hateful web site I’ve ever encountered.  State-owned and state-run media should be banned in this country, and that notion should be enshrined in the constitution.
