Dennis Prager installment XIII: Secularism and the meaning of life

Don’t bother reading it if you already know everything about everything and your brain already has the perfect amount of intellect.  But for the rest of us, it’s a Dennis Prager day!  I make a point of pointing to Dennis Prager’s series on Judeo-Christian values, in which he attempts to explain to the not-necessarily-religious folks what Judeo-Christian values are, and the, well, value of them.  This effort was a new year’s resolution for Dennis Prager and we’re all the wiser for it.

Perhaps the most significant difference between them, though one rarely acknowledged by secularists, is the presence or absence of ultimate meaning in life. Most irreligious individuals, quite understandably, do not like to acknowledge the inevitable and logical consequence of their irreligiosity—that life is ultimately purposeless.
