Dennis Prager’s sure-to-be misread and turned on its head …column

As regular readers know, I decided to make a commitment to point to and encourage people to read Dennis Prager‘s column/series at Townhall, as a way to try to help

some people

liberals in Canada expand their narrow, provincial, liberal compassless horizons, and embrace intelligence by at least understanding Judeo-Christian values.  Each installment takes about two minutes to read.

They’re organic!

OK so I’m running out of sales pitches that appeal to the liberals and since Mr. Prager is on Part XXII (that’s “22” to progressives) of his series now, I officially sound like a broken record to regular readers who wish I would shut my pie hole and simply provide a link.

But for newer readers (hi newbies!), Dennis Prager made a new year’s resolution to better explain Judeo-Christian values to the masses.  Sounded good to me, so I in turn made a commitment to read them and point to them.  See above, lather, rinse, repeat.

But this one, Part XXII, which is called “The feminization of society” is sure to be misread.  Leftists and the oh-so-outraged feminists among them will read it and as sure as I’m typing this, they’ll fire off hate-filled emails to me blasting me for trying to spread the value of those nasty Judeo-Christian beliefs (or they’ll send one of those intellectually superior-sounding emails in which they feel they must set me straight by encouraging me to abandon such values in favor of “liberal values” like prostitution, pot-smoking, gay sex and marriage, abortion, and letting criminals go free…. and of course “Bush is a Nazi you idiot-head”).

But after reading this installment I think I know where Arnold Schwarzenegger got his “girlie-men” expression.  And I like it even more now!

Here’s a snippet from Dennis Prager’s column at Townhall:

[…] The Left has been successful in supplanting masculine virtues with feminine ones. That is why “compassion” is probably the most frequently cited value. That is why the further left you go, the greater the antipathy to those who make war. Indeed, universities, the embodiment of feminist emotionality and anti-Judeo-Christian values, ban military recruiters and oppose war-themed names for their sports teams.

A sentiment such as “War is not the answer” embodies leftist feminine emotionality. The statement is, after all, utter nonsense, as many of the greatest evils—from Nazi totalitarianism and genocide to slavery—were quite effectively “answered” by war. (Virtually every car I ever have seen display the bumper sticker “War is not the answer” was driven by a woman.)
