Fun Christian-and-conservative-Hating Atheist Fact o’ the Day - Jan 23 2007

Our frequently not boring Town Square Forums weren’t boring yesterday, when a participant named “The New Wave!”, a self-described “militant atheist”, took exception to, well, our existence, and our seemingly unfettered ability to say conservative things unhindered by the usual liberal-left shout-downs, refutations, and unwitting displays of abject intolerance of views other than their own.

Particularly, he seemed to pop a gasket about the notion that a regular PTBC participant posted something about supporting the idea of people in Ontario saying a little prayer (to God!) if they wanted to—or even having moments of silence—in public places such as town council chambers, because it might make people like him—“militant atheists”—feel “uncomfortable”, notwithstanding that our country Canada is founded upon the principles that recognize the supremacy of God (or so our Charter of Rights and freedoms begins).

—Pausing for a damn good tearful sobbing, group hugs, and emotional reparations—

He also mentioned that he didn’t want to hear about what he termed, and I quote, “a dead man”.  I think he meant Jesus.  So at least we know he respects folks who are Christians.  Atheists are nothing if not tolerant.

I countered by telling him that his “militant atheism” might make us feel uncomfortable, and therefore he should seek a place where everyone will feel comfortable.  (Nah!)  Nonetheless, he posted two more times.  See, he thought we should damn well hear his militant atheism religion whether it makes us feel “uncomfortable” or not.

Then as people answered back, he (as if on cue), posted the most vile imaginable unhinged lunatic scorn that we’ve seen here in a very long time—a written rampage that mercifully, only a very few of us had the misfortune of seeing before I was able to delete it.  It was so vile and full of militant hate —overt hatred of Christians and Christianity and hatred! hatred! hatred!, that I was compelled to delete it and of course put him on “probation”.

Then, because we MUST hear him and his message no matter what we think about that, he registered again at PTBC using the name “Ega4” so he could, he thought, continue to post his messages of hateful atheism, and about all those “discomforts” of hearing about that “dead guy”.

What a li’l angel!

Anyway I looked up his I.P. address as part of my routine security measures, so I could do what I have to do.

I thought you’d get a kick of it.  I X-ed out the numbers after the first three.

66.6X.X.XX

I thought that was a funny coincidence.
