Hollywood ‘elite’: “We’re non-partisan, and therefore liberals”

“Non-partisan” and being “in the center”, and “taking no sides” means being anti-Bush and anti-conservative in liberal Hollywood.  Actually, everywhere.

Proving once again how engrained liberalism is in these people after years of being steadfastly provincial in their lefty thinking, they now think that to be liberal is to be normal or centered.  They’re so liberal they no longer even see how liberal they are.  They’ve lost all objectivity.  It’s really quite astonishing.

Here’s an example from a story I read today on FoxNews.com:

The story is about a Hollywood organization called “Creative Coalition”.  It at first sounds like Hollywood is coming to grips with reality.  They tout themselves as a non-profit, non-partisan, and merely a social and political advocacy organization comprised of entertainment names and faces.

The Fox News story informs us that “Entertainers who passed through the media line reiterated that their involvement in the coalition isn’t because of political ambitions but because of a strong desire to work on issues.”

Then they quote actor, director and Creative Coalition co-director Tony Goldwyn who says, “We work from the center of the aisle and it’s really important to what we do,” before singer Macy Gray took the stage to perform songs of her own as well as The Beatles’ “Come Together.”

All that’s missing is the reports of kumbaya roundtables and group hugs.

Then a man who we’re advised is a “well-known” star, Hill Harper, who apparently stars in the CBS series “CSI: NY” explained all the love by informing us, “I think it’s more of a neo-conservative thing to be angry and bitter … progressives tend to be more inclusive,” amply demonstrating some of that non-partisanship and center-of-the-isleness.

Those “neo-cons” are so angry and bitter!  Unlike Kerry supporters who are in rehab and others who are so unhinged that they’re prepared to abandon their country and move to Canada in desperation.

When the reality is that “neo-cons” are always enthusiastic about Iraq and winning the war on terrorism and improving the economy and the jobs picture at home; and the liberals are always foretelling death and destruction and losing and quitting and accepting/admitting to “defeat in Iraq” and returning the troops from that “quagmire” and the horrible “jobless growth” and “Halliburton” and the bad bad bad everything and did we mention “Guantanamo” and “Abu Ghraib” eight zillion times yet? (and those are the liberals who aren’t in some kind of post-Bush-victory mental rehab program), it’s hard to figure.
