Reviewing the news this morning, it was easy to pick the newest PTBC Quote of the Week Award.
This is from a story at LifeSite concerning the liberal Democrat Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama’s Secretary of State (and apparently his chief overseas abortion promoter), and her recent comments — in Canada — about what she thinks is a great idea: Canada’s government spending our taxpayer dollars to provide abortions not just to women in Canada as we already do in the countless millions, but also to women overseas too. Sort of a Clinton Global Abortion Initiative. It’s a “health” thing, dontchaknow!
Prime Minister Harper has rightly insinuated that he’s skeptical, and maybe it is not in fact a core function of Canada’s government to provide for abortions for the world’s women and their babies who obviously need to be aborted and are cool with it. But Clinton (and Canadian Liberal leader Ignatieff and even more socialist leader Layton) doth protest. They demand abortion funding from Canadian taxpayers.
Clinton said this even while back home, President Obama recently promised to sign a piece of paper outlawing federal funding of abortions in… the United States (which he did only as yet another way to bribe some pro-life Democrats to get on board his government “health care” takeover, and which isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, but whatever, he succeeded in buying them off).

“…it is the pro-abortion ideology which is getting in the way of maternal health.”
—CLC’s Mary Ellen Douglas, on the NDP abortion party leader Jack Layton’s remark that the Conservatives have let ideology get in the way of maternal health.
And it all inspired me to bring back my much-hated-by-liberals PTBC abortion meter which I used to have at the top of my pages.
