Joe Biden chest bumps Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama is only now proud of her nation “for the fist time” in her life.  Vice President Joe Biden says (to Iraq war troops!) that it’s quite possibly “corny” to say he’s proud to be an American.

Happy fourth of July!

Ned Rice of Andrew Breitbart’s web site’s BigHollywood section writes what not one single solitary media outlet bothered to write, in direct contradistinction to what and how much they’d they’d write if it were, say, Sara Palin or George Bush or any single solitary conservative or Republican saying it.

Hilariously, the excellent liberal media reporting about Sarah Palin starting on Friday and continuing today, totally upstaged Vice President Biden’s erstwhile attention-grabbing and foot-in-mouth-ridden trip to Iraq to visit the troops.

Questioning Joe Biden’s ‘Corny’ Patriotism

by Ned Rice

For those of you who take it as an article of faith that Dan Quayle was the dumbest, most out-of-touch vice president who ever served this nation, I’m afraid I have some bad news for you.

Yesterday, Independence Day, Vice President Joe Biden attended a naturalization ceremony at Camp Victory in Baghdad, Iraq.  During the ceremony 237 U.S. servicemen from 59 countries, including Iraq, were sworn in as citizens of the United States of America.  At the conclusion of this solemn, undoubtedly moving and inspirational occasion, and in the presence of his own son Beau (currently serving in the 261st Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, Delaware Army National Guard), this is what the Vice President of the United States had to say: ”As corny as it sounds,” he told the troops, “Damn, I’m proud to be an American!”

Where to begin?

I like how he penultimately ends the entry:

…But if there’s one person, in one scenario, who should never, ever feel that it’s corny to be proud to be an American, it would be:

– The Vice President of the United States.
– Surrounded by hundreds of U.S. servicemen and women.
– Who have just become U.S. citizens.
– In a war zone.
– On Independence Day.
– You stupid moron, you.

I think it’s a liberal thing.  I don’t mean being a moron —although I understand your thinking —but their hate for America and in our case, Canada.  They can’t stand the way it was conceived and built and must change it to suit their world view.  No liberal thought of registering the web site domain name “ProudToBeCanadian”.  It took a conservative to think of that.

Or maybe they just thought it was too “corny”.
