The liberal Globe and Mail writes this morning that the daughter-in-law of the pizza man who Liberal Immigration Minister Judy Sgro promised to admit into “her Canada” (TM 2004 Liberal Party) in return for favors to her and her party, is accusing Sgro of lying.
I find this perplexing because our benevolent Liberal Prime Minister, Paul (“we lead the world”) Martin says the Liberals are honest folk who don’t lie and have no “hidden agenda”.
TORONTO—The 21-year-old daughter-in-law of Harjit Singh, the man whose allegations forced Judy Sgro out of the federal cabinet, said yesterday she accompanied him to a meeting with the former immigration minister, contradicting Ms. Sgro’s assertions that no such meeting had taken place.
Harkamal Virk, married to Mr. Singh’s elder son, Surinderpal, said the meeting took place at midday in Ms. Sgro’s campaign office in north Toronto during last year’s federal election campaign.
Of course Sgro denies everything. She’s a Liberal.
She called Mr. Singh’s accusation “ridiculous” and said, “These are false allegations from a desperate man who is going to be deported.”
…as compared to another desperate Liberal politician who may about to be under police investigation.
