Top 5 This Week

Meanwhile, the liberals’ message will be foisted on you daily, “whether you agree with them or not”.

You can’t go a day in this country without the all-liberal media fawning over one liberal-leftist “progressive” agitator or another, giving them another platform to spew forth their rabid secular-progressive claptrap, and generally helping them to harm our country, its families, and our future.

So I liked our columnist Ann Coulter’s excellent column this week, called Jerry Falwell—Say Hello to Ronald Reagan!

I never knew Jerry Falwell on any level except as an alert thinking person, as a decent man who made a positive difference in his successful effort to encourage citizens to stand up for their country and demand that good Judeo-Christian values and morals be brought back into the public mindset and moreover, into sound public policy, and stay there.  And that citizens who believe in those values speak up and endure the unrelenting criticism that will follow (I know about that part), and ensure that the right people are elected for the right reasons—the people who promise to advance those good policies.

So nothing can explain away the hateful, disgusting display that liberals in America and Canada have exposed of themselves in speaking of Falwell’s death this week.  One famous atheist and uber-elitist liberal thinker named Christopher Hitchens demonstrated some of that famous liberal-left compassion and tolerance by speaking (the day of and after his death) of the absolute glee he had when hearing of Falwell’s death, and the happiness he felt when hearing of Falwell’s “carcass” being happily discovered in his Liberty University office.  In Canada, even Christian leaders largely dismissed Falwell and put up a giant wall between Falwell and “their” Christianity, in their efforts at being politically correct and cool-sounding, liberal Canadian style.  Their cowering embarrassed me in a way that apparently Falwell embarrassed them, and I distance myself from all who said those things.  They will apparently be happy to hear that.

image No man in the last century better illustrated Jesus’ warning that “All men will hate you because of me” than the Rev. Jerry Falwell, who left this world on Tuesday. Separately, no man better illustrates my warning that it doesn’t pay to be nice to liberals.

Falwell was a perfected Christian. He exuded Christian love for all men, hating sin while loving sinners. This is as opposed to liberals, who just love sinners. Like Christ ministering to prostitutes, Falwell regularly left the safe confines of his church to show up in such benighted venues as CNN.

He was such a good Christian that back when we used to be on TV together during Clinton’s impeachment, I sometimes wanted to say to him, “Step aside, reverend—let the mean girl handle this one.” (Why, that guy probably prayed for Clinton!)

For putting Christ above everything—even the opportunity to make a humiliating joke about Clinton—Falwell is known as “controversial.” Nothing is ever as “controversial” as yammering about Scripture as if, you know, it’s the word of God or something. …

As always, please be brave.  Use the Send to a Friend link found at the bottom of Ann Coulter’s column (and all columns and blog entries) to spread the conservative message around, despite the criticism you may encounter from cowards and the blinkered set.  You may actually help affect positive change in this country.  To quote an American civil war officer, “Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!”
