Obama FAILS: insists on public option, dividing Americans, being partisan, dreaming, being naive…

UPDATED A FEW TIMES

My favorite part was when he said his plan wouldn’t increase the deficit.  This was a funny bit.  And it won’t cost taxpayers any extra money.  I think even li’l Miss Nancy Botox would have raised an eyebrow if only she could have somehow.

I loved that bit in which some folks actually booed in disbelief at the misinformation he was spewing, in which he said don’t worry —illegal aliens won’t be covered.  Yet he uses that bogus stat (same as the CBC and all far-leftists) that “46 million” are uninsured —but we know from their own government statistics that at least 9.7 million of those folks are illegal aliens!  I laughed at that one.  The misinformation and lies are breathtaking, coming from the President (and one which constantly claims the high road in stopping the “misinformation” and “lies”).

Oh and the part where he said the government competing against the private sector won’t destroy the free market.

Yeah and all Americans will be forced to buy health insurance.  I’m not entirely sure he’s actually read the U.S. Constitution.  And private health insurance companies will be forced to cover certain things like mammograms and colonoscopies.  This is “freedom”, Obama style.  Free market, my public option.

And apparently this thing will cost less than the Iraq and Afghanistan war combined.  (Wah?  That certainly clarifies things, especially since they’re ongoing….)

I loved it when half the chamber, after being promised that this would answer all the questions and Obama’s firm detailed plans would finally be revealed tonight,  broke out into laughter when he said that “there are still details to be worked out in this plan.”  I, like them, was still searching for anything resembling a “plan”.

And manifestly, under Barack Hussein Obama, there will be a “public option”.  So after promising that this whole debate would be “reset” tonight, utterly nothing has changed.  Possibly just made worse.  This wasn’t a “reset”, it was another “rehash”.  Another attempt at a head fake.

In the post-game show:

FALL INTO TRAPS MUCH?
David_AxelrodBill O’Reilly was interviewing Obama’s White House adviser David Axelrod, to whom he posed the following theory regarding all those “47 million” uninsured folks, whom those on the left constantly remind us are not getting health insurance, and are dying in the streets.

I paraphrase:

O’Reilly: Dick Morris makes the claim in his book “Catastrophe” that the system will be overwhelmed if 30 or 40 million people who aren’t insured suddenly get medical care, and so there will have to be rationing.

Axelrod: Let’s be clear:  those people are already getting all their medical care, it’s just that they’re getting it from the emergency rooms and so on, and it’s costing us tons more than it need to.

Oh!  Well that’s weird.  So nobody isn’t getting health care.  Or to put it another way, “what I said”.  So that’s another left-wing misinformation, myth, lie, debunked.  Thanks Mr. Axelrod.

And by the way, a huge percentage of Canadians get their health care at emergency rooms too.  Lack of doctors, see.

MORE:
Dennis Miller (still on O’Reilly): (paraphrasing)

“When the big government speech that was supposed to start at 6:00 PM actually starts at 6:15…. that should tell you something about government running things as important as health care.”

MORE MORE:
Still amazed at the capacity of this man, President Obama, to constantly come out claiming to be the champion of truth, and the corrector-in-chief of all the “misinformation” (code for opposition), and the one who casts himself as the savior of all that nasty partisan “anger” and mudslinging (code for opposition), but then—having already been elected as President and thus theoretically above all that—constantly proceeding to make totally partisan campaign speeches full of angry campaign rhetoric and hyperbole and misinformation and partisan accusations that the other side is being partisan and spreading rhetoric and misinformation and lies.  And I’m amazed that people still haven’t figured him and his method out, and still buy into this without questioning it.

He literally warned America that if you say something he doesn’t agree with, they will come after you.  “We will call you out!” he said, angrily.  And folks buy into that from a President of the United States?
