Palestinians to Kuwait: Sorry ‘bout that whole Saddam Hussein thing

In a revealing gesture, current Palestinian leader Mahmound Abbas apologized to Kuwait for Palestinians’ support for Saddam’s invasion of their country in 1990.

Perhaps someday they’ll have the cajones to apologize to the world for accepting cash from Saddam Hussein throughout the 90s (which he got from the U.N. oil-for-food program) when Hussein gave $25,000 to every Palestinian family who would offer-up one of their own kids as sacrifices to the cause and become ever-so-respected suicide bombers and to blow themselves up and blow-up Israeli children and anyone else they could find to blow-up at Israeli bus stops.

Not likely.  That would likely be too much like admitting to the obvious tie between Saddam Hussein and world terrorism.

KUWAIT CITY Dec 12, 2004 — Palestinian leader Mahmound Abbas apologized to Kuwaitis on Sunday for Palestinian support of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein after his army invaded Kuwait in 1990, making the long-awaited remarks on the first leg of a Middle East tour to repair relations with Arab nations.

Asked by reporters about the Palestinians’ support for Saddam’s invasion, Abbas responded: “Yes, we apologize for what we have done.”
