Pesticide heaven: a reader email that made my day

After posting my “Earth Day” news quips about the big and getting bigger, political-correctness-addicted, liberal-left government in Ontario using “Earth Day” to announce their hysterical ban on (very very bad!) citizens using pesticides at their own homes, a faithful PTBC reader (whose name will be withheld here to protect the innocent from Ontario’s Liberal-left Schutzstaffel) sent me this:

Joel,

Check out my little illegal stash…  I just took this photo inside my garage.

I’ve got Killex, Weed-Out, Grub-Out and a whole host of other banned substances.  I’m ready to turn my green lawn into a chemical cesspool!  It’s my damn property, and I’ll do what I please on it.  I should be good for about the next 5 years, after which time I suppose I’ll have to look at various import options.

Last fall, before the ban took effect, I decided it was time to load up.  Well, Lowes and Home Depot had already made a decision to pretend they’re doing a good thing by voluntarily removing pesticides and herbicides from all of their stores.  Fortunately, the good folks at my local [Hardware store] were able to hook me up.  In enquired about ordering a case of each of several of my favourite lawn products, and they were more than happy to help.  The lady at the order desk said she would do whatever she could to help me “stick it to McGuinty’s pesticide ban”, and that I was not the only one she was ordering in cases of these chemicals for!

Signed,

Joel,

Oh man …I am so jealous of the guy with the stash of pesticides!!
I wasn’t paying attention and missed my chance to stock up!!

Can you see his neighbours sneaking over:  “Hey Buddy…got any weed ‘n feed for sale?”

Vicki

Hey maybe they should legalize it and tax it!
