PTBC’s Moonbat of the Week Award - Sept 23, 2008

The statement was made by a progressor.  Sorry a professor. Certainly not a diplomat.

While the liberal-left’s news media division constantly engage public university professors as reliably left-wing or far-left-wing or outright Marxist talking-points bobbleheads on every conceivable matter (they’re geniuses!), we here at PTBC most often use them as reliable sources for our Moonbat of the Week Award

So thanks, taxpayers!

Here is the Vancouver Sun skipping over the fact that a professor at a major university—UBC—and an executive of an AIDS organization—is pretty much accusing the Conservative government of Canada of “genocide”.

PTBCwares C2007

Dr. Julio Montaner, president of the International AIDS Society and a University of B.C. professor of medicine accused the government of being ready to commit “genocide” against addicts.

“If they won’t let us go forward to help our friends and family who have this condition, that is a crime of neglect,” Montaner said.

“It is deliberate and when it’s targeted against a specific group of people—that’s genocide,” he said. “These people have no morals.”

I’m skeptical.  With the “genocide”.  And the “morals”.

Perhaps he (and “those people”) should report Prime Minister Harper to the police.  For the “genocide”.  (By the way, genocide.)

EXTRA:

CBC reports he said , ”…they are after this population because they want them gone.”

EXTRA FUN:

Imagine if a conservative had said something like this.  Oh the media festival that would ensue.  The talk of “gaffes”.  The genocide “hidden agendas”, et al.  Good times would be had by all liberals and leftists.
