I’ve written several times that I’m repeatedly told by liberals to “leave Canada”. It’s one of their favorite lines, what with them being all “tolerant” and such. Liberals seem prepared to cleanse Canada of conservatives in lieu of, oh, I don’t know, being sane. And then Canadians dutifully vote liberal-left and reward them for this tolerant behavior. Go Canada.
I call the state-run CBC “the CBC division of the Liberal Party”. I do so advisedly.
Now this story crops up over at our good friends at CBCWatch.ca, about a blogger who wrote in to a CBC radio show to complain about the state-run (i.e., taxpayer-funded) CBC’s propensity to plug a series of anti-war “art” shows, which if you have an IQ above that of a nickel, you’d know were rabid anti-Bush shows. I don’t just mean that rhetorically—they were literally, in every sense of the word, designed to raise money to “oust” Bush.
State-run radio host Andy Barrie in his (state-run) CBCs “Metro Morning” in Toronto saw fit to address the blogger, “Angry in T.O.”, also known as one of the taxpayers who stuffs Andy’s pie-hole with food every day, with this pithy and ever-so-tolerant reply email to him:

“I’ve got a way for you not to pay for the CBC. Leave Canada.
Worked for me. I didn’t want to pay for the Viet Nam war, so I left. Consider it a fair trade. You’ll be in the only country in the industrialized world without a national broadcaster, and you’ll have the satisfaction of not having to see you tax dollars wasted. And I’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that someone who gets his facts from Fox won’t be voting in any more Canadian elections. You won’t have to be Angry in Toronto any more.
You can be Happy in Toledo.
Then everybody’s happy.”
Great. A U.S. draft-dodger (seemingly proudly so) state-employee telling a fine Canadian citizen to “leave Canada” if he doesn’t like the state-run CBC.
That’s liberals for you. Vote liberal!
